Alexisonfire - Old Crows / Young Cardinals

Alexisonfire mix growly vocals and incredibly high quality harmonious vocals together in a wonderful blend. I really rate the band, and I also quite like Dallas Greens other project, City and Colour, who play acoustical folk music.

Otep are a very special blend of poetry and music. Hard hitting, otep rarely pull any punches. It is quite usual for you to hear one of their songs and for you to think, 'did she really just say that?'. The Ascension is a very mature sound when compared to their previous albums, far more polished and with some absolute stonking tracks make this a must own album in my book. Excellent tracks like perfectly flawed, Ghostflowers, Invisible, in fact, most of the album now I think about it :P

Flyleaf are a female fronted band from the USA. Their debut album Flyleaf is an absolute corker. They have a similar sound to Paramore however I think the singer has a little more range and quality in her voice and the band has a lot less of a commercialised sound.

One of the few albums where there are no fillers at all. In fact I don't skip past any of the tracks as they are all ace :)

Hopefully they will be able to do it again with their new album which is being mentioned on their website.
